Getting ready to celebrate MLK at school or in your community? Check out the following resource from Bridges Together, a nonprofit focused on intergenerational programs. New Commissioner? Female? Chair Paul Sagan anticipates that the finalists for the Commissioner of DESE will be interviewed publicly on Jan. 22, 2018. The Board could vote to appoint the next commissioner as early as January 26. It would be nice to see a qualified female from Massachusetts take the ranks since we have an 80% female profession and we have been male-heavy for awhile at DESE, EEC, and DHE.
